MACT Sonitpur Chief Administrative Officer / Sheristadar Recruitment 2026 – 1 Post

Office of the Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT), Sonitpur, Tezpur (Assam) has invited applications from eligible candidates for filling up 1 (One) Unreserved post of Chief Administrative Officer / Sheristadar. This is a departmental recruitment for serving staff of the District & Sessions Judges Establishments.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have served continuously for at least five (5) years (as on 01-01-2026) as a Senior Administrative Officer (erstwhile Sheristadar) of Additional District & Sessions Judge OR as the Head Administrative Officer (erstwhile Head Assistant) in the District & Sessions Judges Establishment.
• The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
• The Selection Committee reserves the right to relax the requisite criteria in case of need and exigencies.

Salary / Pay Scale

PB4: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- per month + Grade Pay Rs. 14,500/-

Selection Process

• Provisional short-listed candidates will be called for interview / viva-voce. The date and time will be notified on the official website www.sonitpur.dcourts.gov.in in due course of time.
• Final selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the interview / viva-voce only, on the criterion of "seniority-cum-merit".
• No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview / viva-voce.

How to Apply

1. Submit the application in the Standard Form of Application published in Assam Gazette in Part IX.
2. Attach three copies of recent passport size photographs and self-attested photocopies of testimonials (age, caste, educational qualification, etc.).
3. Submit the application through proper channel along with the experience certificate issued by the concerned District & Sessions Judge / Tribunal, copies of service-book, ACRs of the last five years and "No-objection Certificate" issued by the competent authority.
4. Mention "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER / SHERISTADAR" clearly at the top of the envelope.
5. Address the completed application to The Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Sonitpur, Tezpur, PIN - 784001, Assam through ordinary post or place it in the "Drop-Box for applications for the post of Sheristadar/CAO" during office hours.
6. Completed applications must reach the office on or before 14th August, 2026 till 4:30 PM. No postal delay shall be considered.

Important Points

• Incomplete applications, without necessary particulars, signature, photographs or testimonials, shall be summarily rejected.
• Testimonials in original must be produced during the interview; failing which the candidature will be summarily rejected.
• Candidates must mandatorily provide their contact number and e-mail ID (if available) in the application.
• Canvassing, directly or indirectly, will disqualify the candidate.
• The Selection Committee reserves the right to cancel, alter or modify the advertisement or other terms and conditions without any prior notice.
