Karnataka Samskrit University, Bengaluru — Gyan-Bharatam Cluster Centre (Pampa Mahakavi Road, Chamarajpet, Bangalore-560 018) invites applications through a walk-in interview for the vacant post of Technical Expert (Technology and Digitization) under the Gyan Bharatam Mission. Notification No. KSU/GBM/2026-06, dated 19.10.2026 (approval of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor vide no. 26 dated 15.10.2026).
- Post: Technical Expert (Technology & Digitization) — 01 post, Full Time
- Remuneration: Rs 40,000/- per month
- Appointment: purely temporary and contractual for a period of eleven months, subject to the approved project and applicable terms and conditions
- The post remained unfilled during the earlier selection process

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Graduate Degree in Computer Science or MCA OR P.G. Diploma in Computer Science
- Experience: minimum 2 years in manuscript handling, technology, digital imaging, metadata & data management
- Note: knowledge of scripts will be an added advantage
Job Responsibilities
- Digitisation of workflow; manuscript preparation and handling; high-resolution image capture; metadata creation and validation; faithful image reproduction
- Conducting first-level quality checks before submission as per a checklist covering correct file naming and formats, proper bit depth and resolution, clean edges, contrast and legibility, no skewing/distortion/artifacts, correct page order, rotation and margins, no broken or truncated figures, absence of moire patterns, no pixilation, balanced exposure, no loss of detail in highlights or shadows, and complete, accurate and validated metadata for each manuscript
- Ensuring digital images as per the technical standards of GB, MoC; submission to Gyan Bharatam for final verification; archival storage and KDR integration
- Submission of periodic status reports to Gyan Bharatam; ensuring compliance with GB digitisation standards; supervising safe manuscript handling; coordinating troubleshooting with the Centre Supervisor; ensuring digitisation at minimum 400 DPI (true optical resolution) using face-up scanning

- Updated curriculum vitae (CV)
- Original certificates and mark cards relating to educational qualifications, along with one set of self-attested photocopies
- Experience certificates, if applicable
- Proof of date of birth and valid photo identity proof
- Certificates or documents supporting relevant technical skills and experience in digitization, imaging, data management or related fields
- Any other supporting documents relevant to the post
