An additional ₹1,200 per month is paid as food/messing allowance. Apprentices are entitled to 12 days of casual leave and 15 days of medical leave for the year.
Eligibility
- Qualification: full-time regular ITI / three-year Diploma / four-year B.Tech-B.E. / three-year BBA-B.Com-BCA in the listed trade or discipline.
- Year of passing: final examination result within five years of the closing date (on or after 10 November 2021). Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
- Age: minimum 18 years. Upper age and relaxation are governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the notification.
- Not eligible: candidates who have already completed or are currently doing an apprenticeship in any organisation; part-time, correspondence, distance or online qualifications.
- Medical fitness: as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

- Register on the apprenticeship portal: ITI candidates on NAPS (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in); Degree and Diploma candidates on NATS (nats.education.gov.in). Complete the profile and upload documents.
- Fill the KMRL Apprentice Bio-Data Form — download the form — and enter the NAPS/NATS enrolment ID.
- Attach self-attested educational certificates, age proof, category certificate (if applicable), photograph, signature and medical certificate.
