Karnataka State Police Department has released two recruitment notifications (both dated 10 July 2026) inviting online applications for a combined 2,314 Police Constable posts - Special Reserve Police Constable (KSRP) across the state, and Kalyana-Karnataka local cadre posts for KSRP, Police Constable (KSISF) and Special Reserve Police Constable (IRB).

Educational Qualification: 2nd PUC or equivalent (CBSE/ICSE/State Boards/NIOS; one-year vocational/ITI after SSLC with PUC subject; three-year diploma post-2015 treated as equivalent); Kannada language qualification up to PUC level required.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years; Upper age - General 33, SC/ST/Cat-1/2A/2B/3A/3B 35, forest-area residents 38 years (as on 10.08.2026, with relaxations).

Salary: Rs. 37,500 - Rs. 76,100 (NPS benefits).

KEA KSRP, KSISF & IRB Vacancy Details 2026 – Post-wise Breakup

Since the Kalyana-Karnataka posts (KSRP, KSISF and IRB) share a single written examination, separate mark sheets will be published for each post category.

KEA KSRP Selection Process 2026

1. Written Examination: Offline OMR-based exam on General Studies and Mental Ability - 100 questions, 100 marks, 90 minutes. 0.25 negative marking per wrong answer.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates shortlisted in 1:5 ratio per category/post undergo height, chest and weight measurement.
3. Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying in nature; prescribed run, jump and shot-put standards.
4. Medical Examination: Conducted by a Medical Board on vision, hearing and other fitness parameters.
5. Final Merit List: Based on written exam marks of candidates who qualify PST, PET and medical test.

Written Exam Timing: State Cadre KSRP - 20.09.2026, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM; Kalyana-Karnataka Cadre - 20.09.2026, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM.

KEA KSRP Age Limit (as on 10.08.2026)

Age limits already include the 5-year relaxation per GO No. 262 dated 29.01.2026. Ex-servicemen get relaxation equal to military service plus 3 years.

Pay Scale: Rs. 37,500 - 900 - 39,300 - 1,000 - 43,300 - 1,125 - 47,800 - 1,250 - 52,800 - 1,375 - 58,300 - 1,500 - 64,300 - 1,650 - 74,200 - 1,900 - 76,100. National Pension System (NPS) benefits apply.

For the Kalyana-Karnataka notification, candidates may submit a single combined application for KSRP, KSISF and IRB since all three share one written exam paper.
