Note: This recruitment is made under the special provision of Karnataka (Section 371) with 8% horizontal reservation for North Karnataka region candidates, as per the official e-Rajyapatra notification and roster table.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian Citizen
- Age Limit (as on 07.09.2026): Minimum 21 years
- General (Others): Maximum 40 years
- Category II(a) / II(b) / III(a) / III(b): Maximum 43 years
- SC / ST / Category-1 / Persons with Disabilities: Maximum 45 years
- Educational Qualification (PST - Kannada, Classes 1 to 5):
- SSLC / PUC (10+2 or equivalent) passed with the prescribed minimum marks
- Two-year D.Ed / D.El.Ed training from a recognized institute (or candidates duly covered under the Karnataka Government Order) for classes 1 to 5
- KARTET / CTET (Paper-1) pass - minimum 60% marks for General and Category II(a)/II(b)/III(a)/III(b) candidates; 55% for SC/ST/Category-1/PwD candidates
- Working knowledge of Kannada language
Selection Process
- OMR-based written examination (KARTET pattern) to be held on 14.10.2026
- Paper-1: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Paper-2: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
- Selection based on Derived Percentage (weightage of qualifying examination marks) as per the notification
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate verification; final merit list published on the official website
