Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian Citizen
- Gender: Female candidates only for certain posts as per notification
- Education:
- PST: Graduate in any stream from a recognised University + 2-year D.El.Ed (Elementary Education) / CTET Level-1 qualification
- GPT: Graduate in relevant subject + B.Ed. / CTET Level-2 qualification
- HST: Post-Graduate in relevant subject + B.Ed. / SET / NET qualification
- AM: Graduate + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
- PE-I: Graduate + 1-year B.P.Ed. / BTPEd
- PE-II: Graduate + 2-year M.P.Ed.
- CST: Graduate in relevant subject + 2-year D.El.Ed. / CTET qualified
- Head Master: Graduate + B.Ed./D.El.Ed. + minimum 5 years teaching experience
- Age Limit: Minimum 21 years; Maximum 40 years as on 10.08.2026 for UR (posts 01–05).
- SC/ST candidates: up to 43 years
- OBC candidates: up to 43 years
- PwBD candidates: up to 45 years
Selection Process
- Written Test (KARTET / CTET score): Shortlisting based on KARTET/CTET scores. Minimum qualifying: 60% for General, 55% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS.
- Interview: 35 marks weightage.
- Final merit: Combined written test + interview scores.
Salary / Pay Scale
Pay Matrix Level: Level-1 (₹41,300 – ₹1,000 – ₹43,300 → ₹1,125 → ₹47,800 → ₹1,250 → ₹52,800 → ₹1,375 → ₹58,300 → ₹1,500 → ₹64,300 → ₹1,650 → ₹74,200 → ₹1,900 → ₹81,800)
Note: Salary is as per Karnataka State Pay Matrix Level-1 for school education department teachers.
