Karnataka Forest Department (KFD), Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force), Aranya Bhavan, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, has notified direct recruitment for 750 Forest Observer posts (Forest Watcher - Group D / Aranya Veekshaka) vide notification No. KFD/HOFF/B9(RCT)/5/2026-PnR dated 30.06.2026. The posts are split into 700 Non-HK and 50 Kalyana Karnataka (HK) posts across 13 forest circles.

Eligibility
- Qualification: SSLC (Class 10) or equivalent. CBSE, ICSE, other State boards, NIOS and Karnataka board Class 10 are treated as equivalent.
- Age: minimum 18 years. General candidates maximum 30 years (35 with the one-time 5-year relaxation), backward classes 32 years (37), SC/ST/Category-I 33 years (38).
- Physical standards: male height minimum 163 cm (152 cm for forest-dwelling Scheduled Tribe candidates), chest 79 cm (74 cm); female height 150 cm (145 cm) and weight 40 kg (38 kg).
