Office of the District Commissioner, Kamrup (Land Revenue Branch), Amingaon has invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for filling up 55 (fifty five) vacant posts of Gaon Pradhan in the villages under various Revenue Circles of Kamrup District, Assam.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Minimum 30 years as on 01.01.2026 (as per Birth Certificate / HSLC Admit Card or Certificate).
- Education: Minimum 10th pass from a Board/Institution recognised by the State/Central Government.
- Residence: Indian citizen and permanent resident of the area in respect of which he/she seeks appointment.
- Land/Property: Must have land or immovable property in his/her name in the village for which applying.
- Other: Physically fit and sound mind; not an insolvent or defaulter of Govt. dues (Bakijai Clearance Certificate required); not a Government employee; not a member of any political party; not more than 2 living children (as per Govt. of Assam notification dated 19.07.2019).
- Preference: To family members of Gaon Pradhan; views of the Mouzadar shall be taken into consideration.
How to Apply
- Submit the application in the prescribed Standard Form "Part IX of the Assam Gazette" only.
- Mention the name of the village(s) for which applying for the post of Gaon Pradhan.
- Attach the required documents: Jamabandi of the applicant or parents for the concerned village, Mouzadar certificate, Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC), self-declaration of not belonging to any political party and not being a Government employee, Bakijai clearance certificate, and Caste certificate (if any).
- Submit within the prescribed period to the concerned office.
Application Period
Applications will be received from the date of publication of this advertisement up to 20-08-2026 during office hours.
Selection Process
- Selection through Viva Voce Interview. The date and venue will be notified through Circle offices, Mouzadar offices and the District Commissioner, Kamrup office website.
- Candidates must carry all testimonials in original and photocopy at the time of interview.
- Eligible candidates scoring the highest marks in the Viva Voce interview will be selected for the concerned village.
- Appointment is subject to Police verification.
