Kalimpong District Case Worker (EWS) Contract Recruitment 2026

The District Social Welfare Office, Kalimpong, under the Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal, invites applications in the prescribed format from eligible female candidates for the contractual post of Case Worker (reserved for EWS) at One Centre, Kalimpong.

General Terms and Conditions

• The candidate must be Female and a resident of District Kalimpong.
• The vacancy is reserved for EWS.
• Age of the candidate will be calculated as on 28.07.2026 (the date of advertisement).
• Evaluation of educational qualification – 30 marks; Computer test (practical) – 15 marks; Viva voce – 5 marks.
• After evaluation on the basis of educational qualification, the DLSC will call 20 candidates for the Viva-Voce and Computer Test.
• The District Level Selection Committee (DLSC), Kalimpong reserves the right to reject any application not properly filled up or received after the stipulated time and date.
• A panel of top 5 candidates will be prepared, valid for 1 (one) year from the date of publishing. The top ranking candidate on the panel will be offered to join the post.
• Engagement is for one (1) year on a contractual basis; she can be terminated earlier in case of non-satisfactory performance.
• Under no circumstances will the engagement confer any right to regular appointment.

2. Fill in the application form in the prescribed format.
3. The filled-in application will be received from 28.07.2026 to 25.08.2026 either by post or by hand at the Office of the District Social Welfare Officer, Old Hotel Chimal, Ringingpong Road, Near Paramount School, Kalimpong – 734301.
4. Any application received after 4.00 PM on 25.08.2026 (Tuesday) will be rejected; postal delay, if any, will not be considered.
5. Applications will be received only during office hours on working days.

Selection Process

Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of educational qualification, a computer test (practical) and viva voce. The District Level Selection Committee will shortlist candidates for the Viva-Voce and Computer Test as per the scoring system.
