Recruitment shall be made as per the Odisha District & Civil Courts' Judicial Staff Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008 and amendments made thereto.
Note (w): In the table below, (w) indicates Women vacancies (horizontal reservation within the category). In the event of non-availability of sufficient eligible female candidates of any category, the vacancies will be filled up by male candidates of that category. PwD candidates, when selected as per reservation, shall be adjusted against the category to which they belong. Exchange of reservation between SC & ST shall not be considered. Common Eligibility (Junior Clerk, Junior Typist, Copyist & Stenographer Gr-III): (i) Passed at least +3 examination or such other qualification as equivalent to +3 examination of a recognized University; (ii) Citizen of India; (iii) Passed at least Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized Institute; (iv) Over 18 and below 42 years of age on 13.08.2026 (last date fixed for receipt of applications); (v) Able to speak, read and write Odia and must have passed a test in Odia equivalent to the M.E. Standard; (vi) Good character; (vii) Sound health, good physique and free from organic defects or bodily infirmity; (viii) Not more than one spouse living, if married.
Additional (Stenographer Gr-III): Successful completion of stenography course (shorthand and English typewriting) from a recognized institute.
Additional (Junior Typist): Successful completion of English Type Writing course from a recognized institute.
Salaried Amin Eligibility: (i) Passed matriculation examination or equivalent of a recognized Board; (ii) Passed Revenue Inspector Training; (iii) Over 18 and below 42 years of age on 13.08.2026; (iv) Able to speak, read and write Odia and passed Odia test equivalent to M.E. Standard; (v) Good character; (vi) Sound health; (vii) Not more than one spouse living, if married; (viii) Basic knowledge in computer application.
Age Limit: Over 18 (Eighteen) years and below 42 (Forty-Two) years on the last date fixed for receipt of applications i.e. 13.08.2026. Upper age limit for reserved categories shall be relaxed as per the relevant Act, Rules, orders or instructions for the time being in force.
Application Fee: No examination fee is required to be paid by the candidates.
Scheme of Examination - Junior Clerk & Copyist: Part-I Written (English 100 marks, 2 hours; Arithmetic 100, 1 hour; General Knowledge 100, 1 hour); Part-II Computer Science Test (Practical) 100, 1 hour; Part-III Viva-voce 45. Only successful candidates in the written (Part-I) examinations are called for the Computer Science Test (Practical), and those qualified are called for Viva-voce.
Scheme of Examination - Stenographer Gr-III & Junior Typist: Part-I Written - English 100 (2 hours, qualifying in nature); Part-II Shorthand and Typewriting Test 50 (Steno Gr-III: 15 minutes - 5 minutes dictation of 400 words in shorthand + 10 minutes transcription) / Typewriting Test 50 (Junior Typist: 10 minutes, 400 words); Part-III Computer Science Test (Practical) 100 (1 hour) + Viva-voce 35. Typewriting test for both posts shall be done through Computer System in English language only.
Scheme of Examination - Salaried Amin: Part-I Written - Arithmetic (10th standard) 100 (1 hour), Technical Knowledge in Survey & Settlement 100 (1 hour), English 50 (1 hour), Handwriting in Odia 50 (1 hour); Part-II Technical Knowledge in Survey & Settlement (Practical) 50 (30 minutes); Part-III Viva-voce 30.
How to Apply: The application (Form-A) duly filled in and signed in full by the candidate's own hand should be submitted along with the required documents and self-attested copies of certificates, addressed to the District Judge, Kalahandi, Bhawanipatna, At/PO - Bhawanipatna, Dist - Kalahandi, PIN - 766001, and must reach the office on or before 13.08.2026 by Speed Post only. Applications received in any other mode shall not be entertained; applications received after office hour of the last date shall be summarily rejected. Candidates in Government service must apply through proper channel. Separate application should be submitted for each post, mentioning the name of the post clearly (in CAPITAL letters with underline) on the top of the application and the envelope. Standard certificate; valid Employment Exchange Registration Card; and an undertaking that the candidate has no criminal antecedent.
