The President and Executive Authority of the General Body of Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru - an autonomous institution under DST, Government of India - invites applications from eminent scientists for the post of President, JNCASR (1 Post) (Advt. No. JNC/AO/R.1384/03/2026 dated 29.08.2026).

Essential Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering Sciences, or interdisciplinary areas from a recognized University/Institution.
- At least 25 years of R&D experience including a minimum of 10 years as Professor (or equivalent position in industry), with demonstrated research leadership.
- At least 6 years of managerial/administrative experience in a reputed scientific/technological R&D institution.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide scientific and strategic leadership to JNCASR, maintaining excellence in research and education.
- Oversee administration, finance, faculty, and student programs of the Centre.
- Represent the Centre before DST, the General Body, and statutory bodies.
- Promote interdisciplinary research, collaborations, and translational outcomes.
