Eligibility
- Candidate must be an external candidate who has passed the final BDS examination on or before 15 November 2026.
- The parent dental institution must be recognised by the National Dental Commission (erstwhile Dental Council of India) throughout the candidate's study period.
- The candidate must submit a No Objection Certificate from the parent institution and permission from the affiliating university.
- A certificate of good character and conduct from the parent institution is required.
- The candidate must undertake to follow JMI internship rules and to accept the prescribed stipend and training fee.
- Part-time internship is not permitted. The internship is for one year as per NDC guidelines.

Application Fee
There is no application fee. Selected candidates must pay a non-refundable training fee of Rs. 1,75,000 by demand draft in favour of "Registrar, JMI", payable at New Delhi, before the internship begins.
Selection Process
Selection will be made on the basis of merit and interview. Shortlisted candidates must attend document verification on 18 November 2026 and the interview on 23 November 2026 at the Conference Room, Faculty of Dentistry, JMI. The tentative result will be declared on 27 November 2026.
