Educational Qualification:1. Draftsman (Civil): Two years Draftsman Training Course Certificate/Diploma from any Government recognized Institute.
2. Works Supervisor: Matriculation Examination Pass or its equivalent from any recognized institute/university and having ITI Certificate in Building Construction or Carpentry Trade. Note: ITI Certificates to be issued/awarded either by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Technical Education (JKBOTE) or by the Director General Trainings, Government of India.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026):Open Merit (OM): 40 years (born on/after 01.01.1986)
SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC-IB/EWS/OBC: 43 years (born on/after 01.01.1983)
Physically Challenged Persons: 42 years (born on/after 01.01.1984)
Ex-Servicemen: deduction of actual Armed Forces service period allowed; resultant age not to exceed maximum age limit by more than 3 years. Candidate should not be born after 01.01.2008.

SC/ST-1/ST-2/EWS/PwBD: Rs. 500/-

Selection Process: Selection shall be made on the basis of merit obtained in the written/OMR examination only. The examination will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions set in English Language only, with negative marking of one-fourth of marks for each wrong answer. Syllabus for the posts shall be notified separately on the JKSSB website. Date and centres of examination shall be notified separately.
Eligibility Conditions:1. Candidates must be Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate on or before the cut-off date i.e. 30.08.2026.
2. Reservation applicable as per the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act/Rules; horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen (posts carrying pay up to Level-6E) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per extant rules.
3. PwBD candidates may avail facility of scribe and/or compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination as per Annexure-B/C of the notification.
