Age limit
Maximum 62 years as on the closing date for receipt of the filled-in application. Age may be relaxed in deserving cases with the approval of the competent authority. Engagement is initially for one year, extendable up to a maximum age of 65 years or a maximum period of three years, whichever is earlier.

Selection and remuneration
Selection is through interview. Remuneration for retired Government servants is as per DoE OM No. 3-25/2020-E.III-A dated 09.12.2020: a fixed monthly remuneration computed by deducting basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement. Transport allowance is fixed as applicable on the date of engagement and is not varied during the tenure. No HRA is paid.
Terms and conditions
- The engagement is purely temporary and contractual, co-terminous with the project, and carries no claim to any regular post in JIPMER.
- Remuneration is consolidated; provident fund, HRA (unless stated), CCA, LTC and medical claim are not admissible.
- The appointment may be terminated at any time with one month's notice on either side.
- The appointee shall be on full-time appointment for the project and shall not take up any other assignment, paid or otherwise.
- No TA/DA is admissible for attending the written test or interview.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the written test and/or interview; the date and time will be notified in advance.
- Candidates must produce original certificates and documents for verification.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
- Submission of wrong or false information at any stage will result in cancellation of candidature.
