The Office of the District Programme Officer, Women & Child Development Department, Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh, has published an official notification for the recruitment of Counselor and Art/Craft cum Music Teacher under the Mission Vatsalya scheme of the Government of India and Government of Chhattisgarh. Mission Vatsalya is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme aimed at child protection, welfare, and development of children in need of care and protection, including those in Child Care Institutions (CCIs) across the district. The recruitment is being conducted to fill 2 positions on a contractual basis at the Children Home (Bal Griha) and associated child care institutions under the WCD Department in Janjgir-Champa district. The selected candidates will play a vital role in providing counseling support, emotional guidance, and creative/artistic education to children residing in child care institutions.

About Mission Vatsalya – Janjgir-Champa

Mission Vatsalya was launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme with the objective of providing every child with a safe, secure, and nurturing environment that promotes their holistic development. In Janjgir-Champa district, the scheme operates through multiple Child Care Institutions including Children Homes (Bal Griha), Observation Homes, and Special Homes. The Counselor and Art/Craft cum Music Teacher positions are integral to ensuring that the children in these institutions receive quality psychological support and creative education that aids in their overall rehabilitation and reintegration into mainstream society.

2. Step 2: Fill the application form completely using blue or black ink pen in block letters.
3. Step 3: Attach self-attested photocopies of: Graduation Degree & Mark Sheets, PG Diploma certificate, Experience certificates from Government/NGO (minimum 2 years in WCD), Computer proficiency certificate, Caste Certificate (if applicable), Domicile Certificate of Chhattisgarh, Aadhaar Card/Voter ID, and 3 recent passport-size photographs.

• No claim for regular appointment or permanency will be entertained.
• No PF, ESI, pension, medical allowance, or leave encashment applicable.
• Services can be terminated at any time by competent authority without reason.
• Must produce all original documents at joining for verification.
• Any false information leads to immediate disqualification.
• Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.
• No TA/DA for appearing in the selection process.
• Counselor posted at Children Home (Bal Griha) or other CCIs under WCD, Janjgir-Champa.
• Knowledge of JJ Act 2015 and POCSO Act 2012 is an added advantage.
