- Master's degree with minimum 55% marks (grade B+): 2 posts - preferably Humanities, Computer Science, Computer Applications or IT (other disciplines considered if suitable); 1 post - Master's in Sanskrit.
- Experience of computer operation in textual computing, computational linguistics or NLP projects.
- First-language level command of Bengali (spoken/written), knowledge of Bengali grammar and ability to analyse Bengali texts.
- Bengali typing with Avro keyboard (typing test may be held).
