Eligibility Criteria
General: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute with pre-requisite ME/M.Tech/MS or MSc or BS-MS dual degree in the relevant field with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a scale of 10).
- Post 01: Ph.D. in Bioinstrumentation/Biophysics/Medical Physics; pre-requisite ME/M.Tech/MS in Biomedical-Instrumentation/Medical Imaging & Informatics/Healthcare Informatics/Biomedical Engineering/Bioengineering with 60% or 6.5 CGPA AND BE/B.Tech in any field with 65% or 6.84 CGPA.
- Post 02: Ph.D. in Developmental Biology/Biotechnology; pre-requisite ME/M.Tech/MS in Biotechnology/Bioscience & Bioengineering/Biochemical Engineering/Biological Sciences with 60% or 6.5 CGPA AND BE/B.Tech with 65% or 6.84 CGPA; OR BS-MS dual degree in Biological Sciences with 60% or 6.5 CGPA.
- Post 03: Ph.D. in Cellular & Molecular Biology/Cell Biology; pre-requisite MSc in Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Cell & Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Genetics/Life Sciences with 60% or 6.5 CGPA AND BSc in any field with 60% or 6.5 CGPA; OR BS-MS dual degree in Biological Sciences with 60% or 6.5 CGPA.
- Post 04: Ph.D. in Computational Biology/Systems Biology/Bioinformatics; pre-requisite ME/M.Tech/MS in Biomedical Engineering/Computational Biology/Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Bioscience & Bioengineering/Biochemical Engineering with 60% or 6.5 CGPA AND BE/B.Tech with 65% or 6.84 CGPA; OR BS-MS dual degree with 60% or 6.5 CGPA.

Pay Scale: Level 11 (Rs. 67,700 – Rs. 2,08,700), Approx. Gross Rs. 67,700/- per month + admissible allowances.
Note: Only Indian Nationals eligible. Candidates who pursued professional courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are NOT eligible. CGPA to percentage conversion is NOT permitted for determining eligibility.
Selection Process
- Initial Screening: Based on online applications made in the ISRO Live Register portal.
- Personal Interview: Final selection based solely on performance in the Personal Interview. Candidates have the option to give the interview in Hindi.
- Medical Fitness: Selected candidates join the post on being found medically fit.

How to Apply (Online)
- Visit the ISRO Live Register portal at https://www.isro.gov.in (under Career tab).
- Register or update your registration in the Live Register portal on or before 30.08.2026 by 1700 hours.
- Fill in the online application form carefully with correct details.
- Upload recent colour passport-size photograph (.jpg/.jpeg, max 1MB, 500x400 pixels), signature (.jpg/.jpeg, max 1MB, 200x700 pixels), and all prerequisite/essential qualification certificates (.pdf, max 1MB each).
- Upload valid PwBD certificate / Discharge Certificate for Ex-Servicemen / NOC for serving Central Government Employees as applicable.
- Submit the online application before 30.08.2026 by 1700 hours and note the online Registration Number.
