Part-time/correspondence/distance learning qualifications NOT eligible. Higher professional qualifications (B.E., MBA, MCA, CA/ICWA, LLB etc.) NOT eligible.
Age Limit (as on 31.08.2026)
Minimum 18 years, maximum 24 years. Relaxation: SC/ST up to 29 years, OBC-NCL up to 27 years (for reserved posts); PwBD up to 10 years (15 for SC/ST, 13 for OBC-NCL).
Stipend
- Stipend as per Apprentices Act 1961/Apprentices Rules 1992.
- Additional ₹2,500/- per month towards miscellaneous expenses by IOCL (MD)-NR.
- Graduate/Technician apprentices receive a portion of stipend via DBT from BOAT.
Selection Process
- No written test/interview. Merit list based on percentage of marks in prescribed qualification.
- Tie-breaker: earlier date of birth, then higher matriculation percentage.
- First-time apprenticeship candidates given preference.
- Document verification + Pre-engagement medical fitness test (up to ₹3,000 reimbursed).
