Indian Museum Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Library and Information Officer: Master's (or equivalent Honours degree) in Indian History/Anthropology/Arts + Diploma in Library Science + 7 years' experience in a library of standing (preferably a museum library) + research experience with published work in Archaeology/Art/Anthropology.
- Head Modeller: Degree/Diploma in modelling sculpture + about 5 years' experience in a responsible position on sculpture models and allied works (desirable: diagrams and scale models).
- Hindi Translator: Graduate (or equivalent) in Hindi with English + at least 5 years' translation experience in a big establishment (desirable: Bengali knowledge, 30 wpm Hindi typing).
- Modeller: School Final or equivalent + Degree/Diploma of a recognised Art College in Arts with modelling specialization + at least 3 years' practical modelling experience (desirable: museum work).
- Driver-cum-Mechanic: Class 10 pass + professional driving skill with car-mechanism knowledge, permanent motor driving licence + 5 years' driving experience with ability to carry out minor repairs (desirable: heavy vehicles).
- Age limits as in the table above, reckoned on the closing date; relaxation for reserved categories and departmental candidates as per Government of India rules.
