The Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry invites applications for 146 posts of Stenographer Grade-I on deputation basis. Applications must be forwarded through the proper channel with APARs (5 years), integrity certificate, vigilance clearance, penalty statement and cadre clearance on or before 30 October 2026. Deputation is ordinarily not exceeding three years.

Eligibility
- Officers of the Central Government holding a Stenographer post.
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department, OR ten years' regular service in Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) or equivalent.
- Stenographers Gr-I/Gr-II of the Income Tax Department (feeder cadre) are not eligible.
- Age not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
- Applications must be forwarded through proper channel with APARs (5 years), integrity certificate, vigilance clearance, penalty statement (10 years) and cadre clearance.
Post-wise Qualification
- Stenographer Grade-I: Central Govt Stenographer with analogous post or 10 yrs in Level-4
