Application Fee (per post)

Applications without the fee will not be accepted. The fee is non-refundable. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application along with the fee for each post.

Essential Qualifications

Assistant Professor (Instrumental Music (Violin) / Musicology / Fashion Design / Graphics)

1. A Master's Degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in the relevant subject, or an equivalent degree from an Indian/foreign University.
2. Besides fulfilling the above, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC such as SLET/SET, or be or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments. Chhattisgarh SLET/SET is valid as the minimum eligibility for direct recruitment.
3. Candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to 11 July 2009 are exempt from NET/SLET/SET subject to all of: the Ph.D. was awarded in regular mode; the thesis was evaluated by at least two external examiners; an open viva voce was conducted; the candidate has published two research papers from the Ph.D. work, at least one in a refereed journal; and the candidate has presented at least two papers based on the Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars supported/funded by the UGC/AICTE/ICSSR/CSIR or a similar agency.
4. Relaxation of 5% at Bachelor's and Master's level is allowed for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/differently-abled candidates. A relaxation from 55% to 50% is allowed to Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19 September 1991.

OR — alternative route: a traditional or professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the subject concerned, having a Bachelor's degree, who has: studied under a noted/reputed traditional Master(s)/Artist(s); has been an ‘A’ grade artist of AIR/Doordarshan; has the ability to explain the subject with logical reasoning; and has adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in the discipline.

Accompanist (all six disciplines)

• Good academic record with at least 55% marks at graduate degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or equivalent Degree/Diploma recognised by the University, and at least two years' experience of accompaniment in the relevant discipline in a University/Institution;
• OR a traditional or professional artist with considerable achievement in the discipline concerned.

Technical Assistant (Ancient Indian History Culture & Archaeology)

• B.A. IInd class with a subject Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology, OR History of Indian Art and Culture;
• One year P.G. Diploma course in Museology and Indian Art, OR P.G. Diploma in Archaeology from any institution or University.
• Desirable: at least three years' experience of work in the field of Archaeology; efficiency in photography in the field of Archaeology; working knowledge of computer.

How to Apply

• Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format available on the University website www.iksv.ac.in and at the University notice board (Campus-2) during office hours, with self-attested copies of all educational certificates.
• Teaching post applicants must submit four neatly typed copies of the application, addressed to the Registrar, IKSV Khairagarh.
• The application must state the name of the post applied for, applicant's name, father's/husband's name, date of birth (in figures and words), educational and other qualifications, employment exchange live registration number, and permanent residence / communication address.
• Applications must reach by 12.11.2026, 5:30 PM. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.
• Reserved category candidates must submit a recent caste certificate issued by the competent authority along with an income certificate.
• The permanent caste certificate must be produced at the time of interview; verification and certification of SC/ST/OBC caste certificates must be submitted before appointment.
• Candidates employed in Government / Government-affiliated / reputed private organisations must apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate from their employer; failing this they will not be allowed to attend the interview.
• Candidates must appear for the interview at their own expense.

Important Notes

• Candidates who already applied against the earlier advertisement No. Estt./2026/1912 dated 24/03/2026 and who were found eligible for the post do not need to apply again; their earlier applications will be considered. However, if they wish to add additional qualification/experience information, they may submit it in the prescribed format.
• # For the Musicology subject, candidates must re-apply in the prescribed format along with the advertisement fee.
• Appointments to the advertised posts will be subject to the final order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in S.L.P. (C) No. 19668/2022.
• The University has the right to keep any of the advertised post(s) vacant for any reason, and the right to take the final decision.
• The decision of the Selection Committee is final.
• Appointments will be governed by the Act, Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations of the University.
