- Qualification: Indian citizens who are residents of Uttar Pradesh; 1st class M.E./M.Tech or equivalent in the relevant field; OR M.Sc in Chemistry/Mathematics or equivalent with high academic attainment and at least two years of research experience after M.Sc. Computer programming and AI/ML knowledge preferred
- Age limit: Maximum 37 years as on 01/04/2026

IIT Roorkee invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under PI Prof. Dharmansh, Department of Polymer and Process Engineering, sponsored by the Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh.
Job description: Design biodegradable smart food packaging with thermal buffering layers and electrospun sensors, and create AI/ML models for rapid data readout to detect food spoilage and adulteration.
Emoluments: Rs. 28,000 + HRA. Duration: 02 years (extendable according to candidate performance and project duration). The selected candidate may get an opportunity for Ph.D. admission.
