Eligibility
Ph.D. in Hydrology/Water Resources Engineering/Civil/Agricultural Engineering with engineering background at Masters (M.Tech or M.E.) level.
Job description: The project aims to quantify impacts of climate change on meteorological processes and hydrology of the Sone River basin. The candidate is expected to have: knowledge of large data handling (satellite, hydro-meteorological, climate data) with working knowledge of GIS/multispectral remote sensing, data processing and analysis; sound knowledge of hydrological models such as SWAT/VIC/WEAP; knowledge of big data, APIs, Google Earth Engine and machine learning algorithms; strong programming skills in R/Python/MATLAB; readiness for extensive fieldwork; experience in writing papers/patents/technical reports, with at least one journal paper in a Q1 journal.
