- GATE qualified, or must clear the national-level selection conducted by IIT Madras for this announcement.

Qualification and Experience
- Four years’ bachelor’s degree in Civil / Agricultural / Geomatics Engineering and a two-year master’s degree in Civil / Agricultural and allied engineering disciplines with specialisation in Hydrology / Hydraulics / Water Resources / Irrigation Water Management / Irrigation and Drainage Engineering or equivalent.
- Candidates should have passed GATE, or should clear the national-level selection process to be conducted by IIT Madras specific to this announcement.
- Desirable: expertise in GIS (QGIS, ArcGIS), field hydrology and measurements, and hydrologic modelling (Mike+, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM).

General Instructions
- All positions are on a purely contract basis; completion of the contract period confers no right for further extension, regularisation or permanency at the Institute.
- A separate application has to be filled for each post. The system accepts a single application per registered login ID for an advertisement, so candidates wishing to apply for more than one position should select multiple positions before submission.
