| Essential | Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline with a very good academic record; or M.Tech./M.S. with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience; or B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc. with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience in teaching, research, industry or design. |

| Desirable | EHS/laboratory-safety experience in semiconductor fabrication, MEMS/nanofabrication cleanrooms, hazardous chemicals/gases, risk assessment, SEMI standards, ISO 14644, NEBOSH/IOSH. |
