Essential qualification and experience

• M.Tech./M.S. in Physics or a Physics-related engineering/technical field; OR
• B.Tech./B.E. or M.Sc. in Physics or a related engineering/technical field with minimum 02 years of post-qualification experience; OR
• B.Sc. Honours in Physics or B.Sc. (with Physics subject) with minimum 06 years of post-qualification experience.
• Minimum 60% or equivalent grade from graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.

Desirable

We are seeking a self-driven, hard-working and creative Physics educator/researcher who has a strong desire to work in school STEM education through hands-on and inquiry-based learning. Desirable background:

• Strong competency in Physics concepts and numericals at the level of grades 11-12.
• Experience in teaching Physics to students of grades 11-12/UG/PG (e.g. PGT, CBSE, IB, IGCSE, ICSE, JEE, competitive exams, college faculty etc.), designing learning modules, worksheets, videos, chapters.
• Experience in making setups/tinkering with hands, designing/conducting physical experiments, use of lab instruments.
• Good communication and facilitation skills; professional fluency in spoken-written English and spoken Hindi; good digital documentation skills.

Job description

Responsible for developing, testing and refining hands-on Physics modules and activities for students of Grades 9–12, translating advanced Physics concepts into engaging practical learning experiences, developing educational resources, and conducting sessions for students and teachers as part of CCL’s experiential STEM education initiatives.

• Develop rigorous, conceptually sound, hands-on Physics modules for Grades 9–12.
• Research, create, adapt, test and optimise hands-on models, prototypes, experiments and activities to ensure scientific accuracy, safety and effective learning outcomes.
• Prepare comprehensive instructional materials, including activity manuals, worksheets, presentations, educational videos, articles and module chapters.
• Translate complex Physics concepts into accessible, engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences through hands-on activities and demonstrations.
• Conduct educational sessions, workshops and demonstrations for school students and teachers at CCL, IIT Gandhinagar and external locations.
• Pilot and test CCL-developed content in schools, gather feedback from teachers and students, and refine the modules based on observations and learning outcomes.
