Eligibility / Qualifications

• Post Graduate degree in basic science or Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Engineering selected through a process described through any one of the following:
• 1. Scholars selected through National Eligibility Test - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
• 2. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, IISER etc.
• Desirable Qualifications: B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E in Mechanical/Materials Science/Chemical/Aerospace/Instrumentation Engineering/Biotechnology/Biomedical Engineering.
• Candidates from basic science background (Physics/Biosciences/Chemistry/Pharmacy and other fields) with prior experience in biomedical devices and instrumentation and some background in mathematical modelling are also encouraged to apply.
• Desirable skill sets include mechanical testing of materials, material characterization and computational modelling, design and development of custom devices for mechanical testing of hydrogels.
