- First class B.Tech, M.Sc. or M.Tech in biotechnology, biomedical, materials, mechanical, electrical or allied fields of science and engineering with NET/GATE.
- The NET/GATE requirement may be relaxed for candidates who graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes with a CGPA above 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).
- 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates.

Tenure
