About the Project and Investigators

The project is coordinated by faculty of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, IIT Patna. The selected SRF and PA will support experimental and analytical work in civil / environmental engineering, including data collection, modelling, laboratory testing, and report preparation under the guidance of the investigators. Eligibility and Qualifications

SRF: M.Tech / M.E. or Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering or an allied discipline, with relevant research experience. PA: B.Tech / B.E. or M.Tech / M.E. in Civil & Environmental Engineering or an allied discipline satisfying the project qualification criteria. A valid GATE score or national qualification is generally desirable. The selection committee evaluates academic record, research publications, and fit with the project.

Fellowship and Emoluments

The fellowship is governed by the institute and ANRF / SERB guidelines. Senior Research Fellows typically receive a monthly fellowship around ₹42,000/- plus HRA as per rules, while Project Associates receive emoluments as per the sanctioned project budget and institute policy. Exact amounts are paid as per the project's sanctioned norms.

Age Limit

Age and relaxation follow the institute and funding-agency norms; reserved-category candidates (SC / ST / OBC / PwD) receive relaxation as per Government of India rules.
