Applications are invited for a Principal Project Associate in the project entitled "Automated system for Cybersecurity Policies, Assessments, Audits, Ranking and IR" at the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

Number of Positions: One (1)

Qualifications & Experience

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field + minimum 8 Years experience OR
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field + minimum 4 Years experience

The Principal Project Associate will architect, implement and optimize AI-driven, compliance-aware systems spanning backend APIs, AI/LLM model integration and full-stack product engineering, with a focus on cybersecurity intelligence and secure software design.

Preferred Skills

• Python, FastAPI/Django, SQL/NoSQL, RESTful APIs
• React/Next.js or similar front-end frameworks
• LLM frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI, Ollama)
• Cloud deployment, Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of cybersecurity domains, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, DPDP Act) and secure coding principles

Salary

Principal Project Associate: Rs. 49,000/- + HRA (as per MEITY norms)

Duration

Purely temporary post for a duration of 1 year.
