The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad invites applications for one Research Assistant position under an ICSSR-sponsored research project. The selected candidate will support interdisciplinary research involving Indian philosophy, Sanskrit texts and comparative family studies.

Key Responsibilities
The selected Research Assistant will:
Conduct literature reviews on Sanskrit and Indian philosophical texts.
Collect and analyse primary and secondary research material.
Assist with the translation and interpretation of classical texts.
Maintain research databases and project records.
Prepare reports, academic manuscripts and documentation.
Support the organisation of workshops and academic events.
Assist with other research activities connected with the project.
Essential Qualification
Applicants should possess:
A postgraduate degree in a Social Science discipline.
A minimum of 55% marks.
NET, M.Phil. or PhD qualification.
Desirable Qualification
Preference may be given to candidates with:
Academic knowledge of Indian philosophy or Sanskrit.
Background in religious studies, social sciences or related disciplines.
Strong academic writing and research skills.
Experience handling interdisciplinary research material.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 37 years. Applicable relaxation may be provided according to the relevant rules.
Fellowship
The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 37,000 per month.
