Candidates must have been selected through an eligible national-level examination, including:
CSIR-UGC NET, including Lectureship or Assistant Professorship
GATE
National-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments, agencies or recognised institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IISc or IISER
