Vacancy Details

* Registrar: Appointment shall be on Deputation including Short Term Contract/Direct Recruitment on tenure basis for a period of 5 years or upto the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier. Upper age limit for deputation is 58 years.
# Superintending Engineer: Deputation including Short Term Contract for 3 years, extendable to maximum 5 years subject to satisfactory performance. Upper age limit is 56 years.

Group A posts: Rs. 500/-. No fee for SC/ST, PwBD and Female applicants.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Registrar (Group A): Master's degree with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade point scale) and at least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above, or 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration; OR comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education; OR 15 years of administrative experience, of which 08 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. Desirable: Proven ability in administration, Degree in Management/Law or Ph.D.

2. Superintending Engineer (Group A): B.Tech./B.E. in Civil/Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institute/University; with holding analogous position OR 15 years of relevant experience in execution and construction of Civil/Electrical Work including Public Health and Contract Management OR worked as Executive Engineer in Pay Level-11 or equivalent for a period of 7 years.

3. Technical Officer (Group A): B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Materials Engineering with minimum 60% marks; with 6 years relevant experience in Level 6 after qualifying degree OR 3 years' experience in Level 7 and above or equivalent. For M.Tech/M.E degree holders, normal duration of Master's program (max 2 years) and for Ph.D holders, normal duration of Ph.D program (max 3 years) will be counted towards experience.

Age Relaxation: As per GoI norms for reserved category applicants (only where vacancy is reserved); PwBD applicants (max 56 years) and Ex-servicemen; 57 years for regular employees of IIT Goa; up to 57 years for candidates working in IIT Goa on non-regular/contract basis with at least 5 years of service.

Selection Process

An evaluation process as deemed fit may be conducted which will be qualifying in nature. Applicants who qualify shall be called for interview; final selection will be based on performance in the interview only. Outstation candidates for Registrar shall be paid economy class air fare; for other Group A posts, 3rd AC train fare (to & fro) on production of tickets.
