IIT Gandhinagar Full-time Sports Coaches (Program Assistant-I) Recruitment 2026
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications from passionate and highly motivated individuals for the position of full-time sports coaches in Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Swimming, Cricket and Athletics. The institute is offering six positions of full-time sports coaches on contract basis, initially for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension based on the incumbent satisfactory performance and the institute requirements.

Required Qualification
- Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed or B.P.ES or B.P.E degree Programme approved by NCTE) OR
- Bachelor Degree in any discipline with a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Coaching or Diploma in Sports Coaching or Certificate Course in relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
Desirable
- Experience of coaching in College or University teams.
- Working knowledge of Computers.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Sports coaching of students and staff.
- Preparing a sports coaching plan and its execution.
- Conducting Physical Education (PE) classes.
- Responsible for maintenance of fields/courts and equipment.
- Maintaining records related to the associated sports.
- Proactive engagement of students and staff in sports activities.
- Other works assigned by the sports head.
General Conditions and Instructions
- The position is purely temporary and contractual.
- Selection will be based on the practical test and interview performance of the candidate.
- Selected candidates will be provided accommodation on a shared basis on campus on a chargeable basis subject to availability.
- Candidates should bring all original documents along with photocopy while appearing for a practical test in an interview.
- No TA/DA is permissible for attending the practical test and interview.
- Institute reserves the right to fill up/not to fill up the post or cancel the advertisement without assigning any reason.
