Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar, Research & Development Office invites online applications for a temporary position of Project Manager under the project Silicon and Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Research and Training Hub (SAMARTH). Required Qualification (as per Institute norms)

• Ph.D. or equivalent in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. OR
• M.Tech./M.S. or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline with a minimum of 02 years of post-qualification experience in Teaching/Research/Industrial/Design in an organization/Industry of repute. OR
• B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc./MBA or equivalent in an appropriate discipline with a minimum of 04 years of post-qualification experience in Teaching/Research/Industrial in an organization/Industry of repute.
• Minimum 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in Class 10th and 12th.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage SAMARTH workforce development and R&D programs for engineering students, technicians, faculty, and industry professionals.
• Coordinate the development and delivery of online/offline courses, hands-on training programs, certificate programs, faculty development programs and Train-the-Trainer initiatives.
• Build and manage partnerships with engineering colleges, polytechnics, ITIs, universities and other training institutions, including coordination of the SAMARTH Hub-and-Spoke network.
• Engage with semiconductor and allied industries to identify workforce requirements and ensure that training programs remain aligned with evolving industry needs.
• Coordinate with faculty, industry experts, instructors, and technical teams for curriculum development, training delivery, laboratory activities, and assessments.
• Manage participant outreach, registrations, selection, scheduling, logistics, certification, and post-training engagement.
• Develop and implement mechanisms to track training outcomes and impact, including participant progress, certifications, placements/career outcomes, and institutional engagement.
• Organize workshops, industry interactions, awareness programs, outreach events, and stakeholder meetings.
• Prepare program plans, progress reports, presentations, proposals, budgets, and other documentation required for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support communication and publicity of SAMARTH workforce development initiatives through appropriate digital and outreach channels.
• Manage multiple activities, timelines, vendors and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective program implementation.

• Strong project and program management skills with the ability to independently drive multiple initiatives from planning to execution.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with academic leaders, faculty, students, industry professionals, and government stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage training schedules, events, logistics, budgets, documentation, and reporting.
• Experience in developing partnerships and building networks across academia and industry.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), online learning platforms, data management, and digital outreach tools.
• Ability to develop clear reports, presentations, program documentation, and impact metrics.
• A proactive, execution-oriented approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• An understanding of the semiconductor ecosystem and enthusiasm for building India semiconductor talent pipeline would be highly desirable.
