Indian Institute of Technology Delhi – Industrial Research & Development (IRD) Unit
To strengthen its Student Counselling Services, IIT Delhi is hiring 02 Clinical Psychologists and 02 Male Counsellors to join its current team of 15 Counsellors. Applications from Indian nationals are invited for Project Appointment under the project Management and Operation of IIT Delhi Hospital (MI02931G). The engagement is purely on contractual basis, initially till 19.03.2027 (extendable), with consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier, subject to requirement and satisfactory performance.

Eligibility
Clinical Psychologist (02)
- Essential: BA (Hons)/B.Sc. and MA/M.Sc. in Psychology with M.Phil in Clinical Psychology, with at least 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute; at least 2 years experience in Adult & Adolescence Mental Health.
- Desirable: PhD in Clinical Psychology from a recognized University/Institution; good oral and written skills, ability to work with diverse students and employees.
Consultant (Student Counsellor) (02 Males)
- Essential: BA (Hons)/B.Sc. and MA/M.Sc. in Psychology with at least 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute; at least 2 years experience in Adult & Adolescence Mental Health; good oral and written skills.
Terms & Conditions
- Full-time duty as per roster schedule at IIT Delhi Hospital / Counselling Cell (40 hours per week, 9 hours with one hour lunch).
- Not allowed to be engaged in any other place or profession; duty hours assigned by Controlling/Branch Officers as per Labour Laws.
- Purely temporary engagement; no claim for permanency whatsoever on the regular establishment of IIT Delhi.
- Immediate joiner preferred. Remuneration commensurate with skills/experience, not more than 20% higher than previous engagement.
- 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates. For retired/superannuated government employees, salary fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
Selection
Shortlisting-based interview. Applications received within the due date will be shortlisted by a Committee; only shortlisted candidates will be considered for interview. Candidates must produce original certificates/documents at the time of Written Test/Interview/Joining. The shortlist will be displayed on the IRD website along with interview details.
