IIT Delhi Project Scientist Recruitment 2026 - Advertisement No. IITD/IRD/240/2026
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), through its Industrial Research and Development (IRD) Unit, Hauz Khas, New Delhi - 110016, has invited applications from Indian nationals for 03 project posts - 01 Principal Project Scientist, 01 Senior Project Scientist and 01 Project Scientist on a contractual basis under the project titled Modelling and Exploration of Communication Strategies in Chiplet-based Systems-on-Chip (RM00164N), funded by Baya Semiconductor India Private Limited. The appointment shall carry a consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria
- Principal Project Scientist: PhD, or first class MTech / MS(R) with 6 years of experience, in CS / IT / EE or related areas. Strong background in hardware, computer architecture and CPU simulators.
- Senior Project Scientist: First class MTech / MS(R), or first class BTech with 3 years of experience, in CS / IT / EE or related areas. Strong background in hardware, computer architecture and CPU simulators.
- Project Scientist: First class BTech in CS / IT / EE or related areas. Strong background in hardware, computer architecture and CPU simulators.
- 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to SC / ST candidates.
- In case of selection of a retired or superannuated government employee, salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
Selection Process
- IIT Delhi reserves the right to fix higher criteria for shortlisting of eligible candidates from those satisfying the advertised qualification and requirement of the project posts.
- The names of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the web link ird.iitd.ac.in/shortlisted along with the online interview details.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be informed for the online interview.
