Candidates of Indian nationality are invited to appear for a Walk-in Test / Interview for project appointment at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), Industrial Research and Development (IRD) Unit, Hauz Khas, New Delhi - 110016, for 01 post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contractual basis under the project titled Understanding the energetics of Tropical Cyclones in the Bay of Bengal to predict rapid intensity changes and provide future projections in the warming climate scenario (RM00003G_SN), funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi. The appointment shall carry a consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential: Post Graduate Degree in basic science with NET qualification, or Graduate Degree in a professional course with NET qualification, or Post Graduate Degree in a professional course (as per IRD JRF norms stated in the advertisement).
- The requirement of NET / GATE for the post of JRF / SRF may be relaxed for candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a CGPA of more than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).
- 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to SC / ST candidates.
- In case of selection of a retired or superannuated government employee, salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.

- Selection will be through a Walk-in Test / Interview on 21/09/2026 at 10.00 A.M. at the venue mentioned above.
- Candidates already employed at the Institute / IRD shall be interviewed only if the application has been duly forwarded by the concerned establishment or sections.
