The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), through its Industrial Research and Development (IRD) Unit, Hauz Khas, New Delhi - 110016, invites applications from Indian nationals for 01 post of Research Associate on a contractual basis under the project titled Guided Wave-Based Baseline-Free Structural Health Monitoring of Ship Hulls under Varying Environments (RM00216G_SN), funded by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. Appointment shall be on contractual basis with consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Mechanics from IITs / IISc / CFTIs with at least 2 research papers in Science Citation Index (SCI) journals.
- Experience: Minimum two years of relevant research experience (including PhD) in fluid-structure interaction, guided wave propagation and structural health monitoring.
- Desirable: Exposure to experiments in vibration and structural health monitoring or finite element simulations.
- 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to SC / ST candidates.
- In case of selection of a retired or superannuated government employee, salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.

- IIT Delhi reserves the right to fix higher criteria for shortlisting of eligible candidates from those satisfying the advertised qualification and requirement of the project post.
