IIT Delhi Project Scientist Recruitment 2026 - Advertisement No. IITD/IRD/232/2026
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), through its Industrial Research and Development (IRD) Unit, Hauz Khas, New Delhi - 110016, has invited applications from Indian nationals for 01 post of Project Scientist on a contractual basis under the project titled Novel Optical Fiber Technology for Quantum enabled 6G communication (RP04871G), funded by the Telecom Centre of Excellence India, Department of Telecommunication. The appointment shall carry a consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential: M.Tech. in Applied Optics, Photonics or Optoelectronics with a minimum 7.5 CGPA or CPI.
- Preferred: Prior experience in integrated photonics and fiber optics.
- 5 percent relaxation of marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates.
Pay Scale
Selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 66,667 per month. In case of selection of a retired or superannuated government employee, salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.

- Screening of applications against advertised qualifications and project requirements.
- IIT Delhi reserves the right to fix higher criteria for short-listing.

- Only shortlisted candidates will be informed and called for the online interview.
