IIT Delhi Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - Advertisement No. IITD/IRD/231/2026
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), through its Industrial Research and Development (IRD) Unit, Hauz Khas, New Delhi - 110016, has invited applications from Indian nationals for 01 post of Senior Research Fellow on a contractual basis under the project titled Development of in vivo Raman spectroscopy methods for the perioperative identification of surgical margins and parathyroid gland in head and neck cancer patients, sub-project under Main CoE RP04898 (RS00012N), funded by the Wadhwani Innovation Network, Wadhwani Foundation, New Delhi. The appointment shall carry consolidated pay plus HRA, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential: M.Sc. or B.Tech. in Physics, EP or Electronics with 80 percent marks and minimum 02 years work experience with NET or GATE qualification.
- Preferred: Work experience in Raman Spectroscopy.
- The requirement of NET or GATE for JRF or SRF posts may be relaxed for candidates who graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with CGPA above 8.0 (80 percent aggregate).
- 5 percent relaxation of marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates.
Pay Scale
Selected candidate will receive Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA at 27 percent. In case of selection of a retired or superannuated government employee, salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
