IIT Delhi Consultant (Basketball Coach) Recruitment 2026 – Sports Unit
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi intends to conduct a shortlisting-based interview to engage the services of 01 Consultant for Sports Unit (Basketball Coach). The engagement will be purely on contract basis initially for a period of 01 year, extendable up to a maximum period of 03 years or up to the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, as per Advt. No. E-II/27/2026(W) dated August 21, 2026.

Essential Eligibility Criteria
- Retired from Central Government / Autonomous / Statutory Bodies (under Central Govt.) at Pay Level-7 or above (7th CPC)
- Coaching experience in at least two National/International events in the last five years, approved by Basketball Federation of India
- Minimum 05 years of basketball coaching experience
Roles and Responsibilities
- Planning and execution of training programs and coaching camps
- Preparation of teams for Inter-IIT and invitational tournaments
- Coaching and mentoring of institute basketball teams
- Coordination with Sports Officer, BSA, coaches and support staff
- Handling sports unit administrative duties and operational coordination
- Monitoring player fitness, discipline and performance
- Willingness to work in split/odd duty hours/Institute holidays as per sports activity requirements
