Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi invites applications for 01 post — Research Associate-I (RA-I) for the project "Development of oxy-steam catalytic gasification system for Hydrogen enriched producer gas by Kitchen waste", sponsored by Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India.

Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering or equivalent allied branch related to the project, OR three years of research/teaching experience after ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis with consistently good academic records are also eligible.
• Desirable: expertise in Gasification / Chemical Kinetics / Heat transfer / IC engine; software like FLUENT, CFD, ASPEN PLUS, RSM.

Age Limit

Upper age limit 35 years (relaxation as per GoI norms). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates preferred as per GOI rules.

Salary / Emoluments

Fellowship Rs. 58,000/- per month + 20% HRA. Duration: 8 months. Post purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Selection Process

Shortlisting based on eligibility, academic record and relevant experience; shortlisted candidates intimated by email for interview at Mechanical Engg Dept., IIT (BHU) Varanasi. No TA/DA paid.
