IIT Bhilai Assistant Training & Placement Officer (ATPO) Contractual Recruitment 2026 – 01 Post | Apply Online by 14 Sep
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai – an Institute of National Importance under the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 – invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Assistant Training and Placement Officer (ATPO) on a contract basis.
The appointment shall be purely temporary for three (03) years with annual performance evaluation, with possible extension subject to satisfactory performance and requirements of the Institute.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Two-year PG degree in Management or equivalent from a recognized university, after at least 3 years Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering/Technology with 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA.
- 2 years of relevant experience after the qualifying degree.
- Experience in one of: Campus placement in a reputed Institute/University, recruitment & placement in a corporate house/MNC, or manpower development and training.
Desirable Qualifications
- MBA with relevant experience in an educational institute catering to research with industrial-academic interface.
- Experience in IITs/IIMs/IISERs/NITs or similar Institutes of National Importance.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; strong professional network.
- Tech-savvy with good computer application knowledge (MS-Windows, Google apps, web & social media tools, etc.).
