IISER Tirupati Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Recruitment 2026 – MoEFCC Bird Ecology Project (Advt 65/2026)
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati, an autonomous Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, invites applications from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a MoEFCC-funded research project on a purely contract basis.

Essential Qualifications
- Master degree in Biology/Life Sciences or any equivalent discipline with minimum of 55% marks.
- Applicant should qualify the CSIR-UGC NET/GATE or any National Level Test conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies.
Desirable Qualifications
- Candidates with a valid 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler driving license and experience
- Experience conducting fieldwork for over one year
- Experience with bird song and call identification (will be assessed at interview)
- Experience with recording bird songs and analysis
- Experience in handling bird population data and survey equipment
- Experience in analysis in Raven Pro and BirdNET
- Experience with bird handling and ringing techniques
Fellowship / Salary
INR 37,000/- + 10% HRA per month (Consolidated)
