IIPS Senior Research Officer Walk-in 2026 (PMJAY Project) – 1 Post | Interview 02 Sep

The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai invites applications for the post of 1 Senior Research Officer (Sr. Project Officer – Research) on contract basis for the institute funded project "Coverage, effectiveness and barriers of social health insurance in achieving universal health coverage during pre and post PMJAY period in India".

Essential Qualifications

  • PhD Submitted in Population Studies / Demography / Public Health / Economics / Statistics / Allied Subjects
  • Strong understanding of quantitative research methods and survey methodologies
  • Experience in social research and community-based research
  • Experience in analysing large-scale demographic and health survey data such as NSS, NFHS
  • Proficiency in STATA, R and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Desirable

  • At least 2 research publications in peer reviewed journals
  • Experience in handling statistical and demographic software packages
  • Track record of working in the health/social sector
  • Experience in primary data collection and qualitative data analysis

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide implementation of assigned tasks ensuring adherence to project timelines
  • Conduct data analysis, interpret findings and draft project reports
  • Undertake systematic review of studies relating to the project
  • Prepare, draft and contribute to scientific writing of research papers
  • Assist the team in project execution and research activities
