Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), an autonomous apex body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Mumbai invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for 4 contractual positions at its Head Office, Mumbai.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

1. Packaging Designer (2 Posts)

• Essential Qualification:
  • Bachelor in Designing (B.Des.) with at least 02 years experience in Product designing; OR
  • Masters in Designing (M.Des.) with at least 01 year experience in Product designing.
• Proficiency in design software: ArtiosCAD, Auto CAD, SolidWorks, CATIA and etc.
• Desirable: Preference to experienced candidate based on skills and knowledge demonstrated during interview.

2. Technical Assistant (2 Posts)

• Essential Qualification: Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology with 1-year experience in Testing/Research/Packaging Design/Industry related to Packaging.
• Science includes: Chemistry, Physics, Industrial Polymers, Food, Pulp and Paper, Printing and Packaging.
• Engineering/Technology includes: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Food, Polymer, Chemical, Plastic, Pulp and Paper, Printing and Packaging, Material and Packaging Design.
• Desirable:
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging (PGDP) from Indian Institute of Packaging; OR
  • Diploma in Design with three years experience.

Important Dates

Terms & Conditions

• Appointment is purely temporary on contract basis for initial period of one year, renewable every six months based on satisfactory performance.
• No claim for regular employment during or after discontinuation of contract.
• No benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical, DA, Transport Allowance or any other allowance.
• No TA/DA for attending interview or joining assignment.
• Working hours: 09:30 AM – 06:00 PM (including 30 minutes lunch break).
• Only casual leaves and declared holidays admissible.
• Candidates may be called for work on weekends/holidays without extra remuneration.
• Intellectual property rights of data and deliverables remain with IIP.
• Engagement may be terminated by giving 1 month notice or immediately in case of misconduct.
• Selected candidates liable to be posted anywhere in India as per requirement.
