Level-wise Requirements
- Professor: Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree, very good academic record, and minimum 10 years of teaching/industry/research experience, of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor at IIMs or peer institutes in India/abroad.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree, very good academic record, and minimum 6 years of teaching/industry/research experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at IIMs or peer institutes in India/abroad.
- Assistant Professor Grade I: Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree, very good academic record, and at least 3 years of industrial/research/teaching experience as on the date of application, excluding experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.
- Assistant Professor Grade II: Candidates with less than the requisite experience may be considered on contract with pay as per GoI rules.

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) invites applications for faculty positions in the areas of Business Ethics & Communications, Economics, Finance & Control, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, Public Policy and Management, and Organizational Behaviour. Candidates are expected to conduct high-quality research, contribute to post-graduate and doctoral programmes, participate in engagement with the professional community, and engage in administration and service to the academic and research communities.

Salary, Probation and Support
- Candidates appointed as regular faculty at the level of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor Grade I shall undergo a minimum probation period of 2 years.
- Salary and allowances shall be as per Government of India norms; the Institute has a liberal research support policy.
- The Institute follows the Reservation Policy of the Government of India and strongly encourages applications from reserved category candidates and women.

- Human Resource Management: Strategic and Operational HRM and Employee/Labour Relations.
- Management Information Systems: Cloud Computing, AR/VR, Metaverse, Social Media Analytics, People Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Digital Marketing, Digital Society, Technology Entrepreneurship, E-Business, Digital Product Management, User Experience, Systems Thinking, Design Science, Data Engineering, Information Visualisation, Industry 4.0, IoT, Enterprise Systems, E-governance and ICT for Development.
