Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Professor (Level 14A): Ph.D. with 10 years’ experience (4 as Associate Professor); First Class (min 60%) in Master’s; minimum eight ABDC-B/ABS-3 publications (or equivalent mix incl. ABDC-A/ABS-4), indexed in WOS/Scopus.
- Associate Professor (Level 13A2): Ph.D. with 6 years’ experience (3 post-Ph.D. as Assistant Professor or industry equivalent); First Class (min 60%) Master’s; minimum five ABDC-B/ABS-3 publications (or equivalent).
- Assistant Professor (Level 13A1): Ph.D. with 5 years’ experience (3 post-Ph.D.); First Class (min 60%) Master’s; minimum four ABDC-B/ABS-3 (or two ABDC-A/ABS-4) publications.
- Assistant Professor Grade I (Level 12): Ph.D. with 3 years’ experience; First Class (min 60%) Master’s; minimum three ABDC-B/ABS-3 (or one ABDC-A/ABS-4 + one ABDC-B/ABS-3).
- Assistant Professor Grade II (Level 11): Ph.D. with more than 1 year post-Ph.D. experience; First Class (min 60%) in Master’s, Graduation, Class XII and X; minimum two ABDC-B/ABS-3 (or one ABDC-A/ABS-4) publications.
- Assistant Professor Grade II (Level 10): Fresh Ph.D. (less than 1 year post-Ph.D.); First Class in Master’s, Graduation, Class XII, X; at least one ABDC-B/ABS-3 publication mandatory.
- Professor/Associate Professor of Practice (Level 14A/13A2): Substantial experience (minimum 20 years) in industry/government; Ph.D. desirable but not essential; appointed initially for 2 years, renewable up to 5 years; retirement age 65.
- Relaxation: 5% for SC/ST/DAP (PWD) and 3% for OBC in Master’s degree. Reservation as per Government of India rules.
