Project Title
“Development of impact test coupons with superior strain energy absorption characteristics for underbody protection in Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs)”
Essential Qualification
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering / Material Science / Production Engineering / Engineering Design / Manufacturing Engineering or any branch of Engineering with a valid GATE qualification at any time, and
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering / Material Science / Production Engineering / Engineering Design / Manufacturing Engineering or any branch of Engineering.
Candidates should have a minimum of:
60% aggregate marks, or
CGPA of 6.5/10
in both UG and PG programmes.
Candidates are also required to have qualified NET / UGC / GATE at any time.
Students currently in the final semester of M.Tech. may also apply, subject to completing the degree within the prescribed time.
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates having:
Good academic record and knowledge in the relevant research area
Experience in design
Dynamic simulation
Basic knowledge of additive manufacturing
Good analytical ability
Strong technical writing skills
Stipend
INR 42,000 per month (Consolidated)
HRA: 10% as per applicable rules
Nature of Appointment
The position is purely contractual for a maximum period of one and a half years, subject to satisfactory performance evaluation every six months.
